Privacy policy
A plain-language description of what this site does and does not collect.
What we collect
We have no accounts, comment systems, or email signups, and no forms that send personal information to us. The setup finder and search run entirely in your browser, and what you type is not sent to us.
Analytics
The site does not currently use analytics or tracking cookies. If that changes, we will update this page and ask for your consent first.
Amazon links
When you click a “Check Price on Amazon” link, you leave this site. Amazon may use cookies to attribute purchases to our Associates account. Amazon’s handling of your data is governed by the Amazon.com Privacy Notice.
Hosting
This site is hosted on GitHub Pages. GitHub may log technical information such as IP addresses for security purposes; see the GitHub General Privacy Statement.
Fonts and images
We use system fonts, so no font service receives your data. Illustrations are served from this site. Product photos on buying guides, reviews, and equipment pages are loaded directly from Amazon’s image servers, as Amazon’s terms require; when your browser loads them, Amazon receives standard request information such as your IP address and browser type, as described in the Amazon.com Privacy Notice linked above.
